Thank you so much for this wonderful packet, Tamara 😀

Yes, I know there is some times since last bloging, lol.

It has been so busy, for a couple of week I was at workshop with Amelia Kinkade in animal communicator. It was good to meet here again and it was a much better workshop then last time, all the particpant was rely ageer to learn and put aside all the «fear with I can’t doe this». When I talk with Amelia, I told here that I breed longhair zwerg dachshund and that my Kelly is pregnant, she then ask if it would be much trouble for me to pick here up and let Kelly be our teacher. It was just 15 min drives, so that was not any problem. It was intresting for me to have Kelly in the class and the students was rely good with the information they recived from Kelly. Else in the workshop there was a lot of WOW moment, I had mine also and it was a great workshop. If you want to learn how to comunicate with animal, look at Amelia’s webpage for the schedule. It is not so difficult that you think, Amelia’s method are very easy to use and she is a great teacher.

This weekend on Saturday it was a ordinary bloodtracking field trail in my dachshund club, I did not have any of my dogs attend. Since Kelly is the only one that are trained, but are not allowed to join since she is now 5 weeks due in here pregnancy. But one of my puppi buyer was there with his dog Ricco, that is a puppie from Ellie and Charlie’s litter. Ricco did it very well, hi got 1 price with Honor Price, way to goe Ricco and Yngve. Now they need one more 1.price to gain the Working Champion, think they are going to a new bloodtracking filed trail this weekend, fingers crossed 😀

Here are some photos of the little lad and with his owner Yngve:

On the spinning wheel right now it is merino&tencel from Chameleon colorworks fiber of the month, I am also finish with the Bamboo caribbean that May want to buy to here daughter. I am taken it with me this evening to see if she like the finish product. After spinning 100% bamboo, I definitely tell you that it will not be my favorite fiber to spin having it as a blend I love the bamboo, but not pure bamboo.

Doe I knit? Yes, I doe, but forget to take photos, bummer 😀 The Pretty as a Peacock shawl I am finish I am halfway in Chart E. But then I got distracted because a certain DVD came in the mail box; Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Baby Surprice Jacket. So know I am knitting my first BSS, will take photos soon, promise, lol.

Thank you so much for this lovely packet, Lisa. I love all of it – thank you 😛

Wool arrived and dyeing fiber.

Since I thought it would be boring to just sell white and finished dyed fiber, I started to dye again. Here is 5 tops I dyed, it is 2 tops with Falkland, 2 tops with BFL and 1 tops with Optim. The last one I am not satisfied with, since the Optim was not dyed in the middle.

Except for the Optim, they other hand dyed tops will be put out for sale when my web shop is up and running, hopefully soon. But Beau are excused, hi and Allena got a new family member June 18 😛

The lace socks are finised, my first english pattern; Fiber Trends – Lupine Lace sock pattern.

I have also finally started on Pretty as a Peacock Shawl, this is my first lace shawl. English pattern and not the most easy on, so I wonder what I am thinking on and to be honost. I have already knitted wrong two times, I thought I was finish with chart B. Then I was missing 5 stictes and took up a lot of rows, then I started again. But when I check the pattern, I so that something was wrong and yes, oh dear. I had began on the wrong row, so I just had to take up all the rows and start again from row 46. But know I have control again

Wish me good knitting luck on my following journey 😛

Here is the Merino&Silk blend from Fiber fleece artist I bought from Garnkorga in Sweeden, the quality for that price is not worth it. The wool had felted a little bit so it was small neps in and therefore I am not satsfied over the quality. Here is the photo of the yarn.

Oh, I almost forgot to write about the most important news, I have got a new drop spindle. A Kundert Birdseye Maple, Wenge, Zebra on Walnut Whorl, I love it. Despite of the weight, it is 1 oz it don’t feel so heavy at all. It is in very good balance and spin forever, I have got a new spindle in my favorite collection.

And some secret news; HK Spindles & Fiber what is that? Stay tune more will come soon 😆

More spindle and Figgy Pudding arrived.

April fiber of the month club from Chameleon Colorworks was Figgy Pudding, I like this color much more then Easter Parade. Light pastels colors are not my favorite, but this is how it is to be member for a fiber club.

Here is photos of Figgy Pudding, it is BFL.

I also got my new Bosworth spindles, it is Red Cedar midi 20 gram and Zebrawood mini 17 gram.

I love them, I have already spin on round finish and ply Corridale with the midi Red Cedar spindle 😀

More fiber in the house.

My brother work sometimes in Hamar, and since Spinnvilt is in Hamar. What more naturally is it to ask if he could pick up some wool I order from Spinnvilt. I love to try new wool and fiber type, so when Spinnvilt had got in many new type I just had to try. My brother and his family came to Bergen today and look what hi had with him 😛

Wool from Spinnvilt, from left is Corridale, Wensleydale, Shetland, Shropshire, Dorset Horn, Lincoln and in the bag washed Spelsau. Yiah.

Lincoln and Dorset Horn are interesting, but I think that will be a one time bargain. The wool are to coarse for me, wonder what type of yarn I shall spin with it. Corridale and the Shetland are very nice and will definitely be bought more of, Wensleydale I am not shore of before I have spun with it. Shropshire is a fine coarse wool, specially good for making sock yarn and are bought in for that purpose.

Eirik at Spinnvilt give a very good custom service and is one of the two Norwegian spinner & wool shop we have in Norway 😀

Birthday, drop spindle, fiber.

Tuesday I had knittingbirthday party as always it was a great party, look what I got from the girls 😀

From Tittei, Regia Kaffe Fasset yarn 😛

From nsalsmo, more soft lovely white Bouton o’Dour baby alpaca

It was a great knitting birthday party 😀

I have also orded some new drop spindle from Bosworth, but since I would like to have them with walnut shaft it will take a little while before they arrive. So when I look at Spinnulla’s webshop and so the Greensleeves Vixen – Tulipwood 19 gram I had to try one of them, I gave Wenche the owner to Spinnulla some shipping tips and look how nice and lovely she is. I could choose 100 gram with what wool/fiber I wanted, of course I had to accept that gift 😛
I choosed Bambus Aegean, the color are gorgeous and the softness in this bambus are so soft.

Since I took a photo in the evening, the colors are not quite right. Look here for the correct color.

and here is the Greensleeves Vixen – Tulipwood 19 gram 8) the fiber is merino&silk blend from Highland Cottage.

Latest news spinning and more drop spindle.

Fiber of the month in march was Easter Parade and is merino, since I wanted to keep the colors in the fiber I navaho plyed the yarn.

Wool: Merino from Fiber of the month Chameleon Colorworks
Weight: ap. 113 gram / 4 ounce.
Length: 348,70 m / 381,33 yards
WPI: 19 WPI – Fingerweigth

I have bought a new drop spindle, this time I wanted to try a other type then Bosworth. So from Beth The Spinning Loft I bought a Lacewood Tabachek spindle, I was so ager to begin to spin with it that I forgot to take photos with the yarn on 😀
So here is a photo of the drop spindle with the finish yarn, I spun up some leftover with hand dyed merino 16 mic and spun it as a lace weight yarn.

So what doe I think about Tabachek? I love the design it is so beautiful scarved and spin very good, but still I am in love with my Bossies – they spin longer 8)

It is also more quiet in the house, 3 of the puppies has left to there new owners. 2 girls are again, Wilma to the left are staying here for while before she go to here new home and Lima to the right is staying with me.

Spinning and knitting.

Finish with some lace yarn I have been spinning, I love spinning lace but it takes it’s time.

Here is merino:

lace-18-mic.jpg

Wool: 18 mic merino from Wollknoll in Germany.
Weight: 83 gram / ap. 3 ounce.
Length: 412 m / 450.50 yards
WPI: 46

Doe you think this was thin? 😛 just wait to I tell you about Optim, hi hi.

I begin to spin the Optim Nancy – Chameleon Colorworks send me, she told me to predraft it lightly then it would spin like butter. She has right, it spin like butter – I love it. But it is also so easy to spin lace, to easy because if the 18 mic merino is 46 WPI I wonder what this will be since one single tread is thinner.

optim-blue-pink.jpg

It has also done some knitting, May that is the LYS owner at To Damer are now selling yarn from SWTC and I bought some Karaoke. That is 50% soysilk and 50% wool, it is very soft and wonderful to knit with. I was going to knit My So Called Scarf pattern, but the yarn is a single tread so it fluzz up very easy. So then I just knit 1 k and 1 p, it was enough with 3 skeins since I used 40 sts.
I gave the scarf as a birthday present to my sister, as you can see I was not quite finish so I knitted it finish at the party 😛
