I know, long time since last update :o)

Alright, I know it is a long time since last update, but it is so busy no at days.

Last weekend I was show weekend with the kids, I had Charlie and Kelly with me. The result up to know have not been of the best, but this weekend they did very well. On Saturday at Norges JFF show at Prestøya Charlie got 2. best male with res. CC and Kelly got 2. best bitch with res.CC.
Sunday was the Norwegian Kennel Club show at Bjerke. The day was was terrible in weather, we walked in mud up to the legs. But results was very good, Charlie got a very good critic but not the highest results 1. in open class and 3. in the competition class. Kelly did it very well, 3. best bitch with res. CC.
Of course, I hoped for the CC since both of the kids need the kennel club CC to became show Ch. they also need working merits. So maybe next show we will get the CC.
But this weekend, I also learned some of the not so good side with dogs show. I have heard about handlers that consciously try to destroy for other handlers and there dogs, and this weekend I experience this. Kelly always walked very good in the show ground, but when I suddenly felt that she did not want to walk I notice the handler behind me. The handler behind me nearly run Kelly down, before she past us as she should not have done. So after that Kelly did not wanted to go so much more, so I was very happy over the 3.place in the Best Bitch class. This behaving I have little respect for and yes, next time I will be ready and react this I will not tolerate anymore. Well, at least the handler did not got placed with here bitch in the Best Bitch class.

The other news is that I bought a GPS and yes it works almost 100%, but not always agree with me with was what the shortest way to the destination. But when I wake up on Sunday I quickly understand that I should have started the drive to Oslo for 15 minutes ago, the GPS that told me where the speed alarm is standing in the road was very handy to have. Doe I need to tell you why? 😛
We stayed with my brother Endre and his family, they had moved in there new house and had got it very nice and cosy.

I also met Stella a puppy I sold from Kelly and Milky’s litter, here is a photos of here:

Wednesday it was time for knitting quild again, this time it was Cruzidull who was the hostess. For some reason the Bergenslady don’t want to have there photos on the blog. So here is some photos of the gorgous cat Cruzidull has, I don’t quite remember the correct breed name. But was something with Rex, and that coat was so soft and marvelous. Wish it could have been longer, then it would be wonderful to spin of 🙂 Cruzidull had also got a new digital camera earlier this summer, so I just had to take a photos of here.

I was going to post some photos from the NKK Trondheim dog show, Merete (kennel T-Bob), Anne and I went to. But when I checked the photo map, I had not prepped them yet. So I will put out a link here when I have made the show how trip report on my kennel webpage 🙂

Look what I have bought :o)

I have for a long time wanted to buy a digital Camera, the one I have is of the compact type and no I wanted a more adwance. Taken photos of dogs recomand a high quality camera, I had decieded to buy Canon EOS400D but that change.

On thursday Anne, Merete (kennel T-Bob) with Britney, Batist, Bori and the puppy Beyonce, myself with Charlie and Kelly was off to Trondheim. It was time for dog show again 🙂
I meet Anne at Nesttun where we shoped in food for the trip, we passed the photo shop Fana Optik and I decided to just take a quick trip and ask for a good price on Canon EOS400D. Well, the seller did not recomand Canon EOS400D because they did not think the camera was good enough in the optic. Hi was very clever and just show us some photos and ask me what was the best, and when hi sad that the photos I had pick out as the best was taken with Nikon D40 I decided me for go for Nikon D40. I also ask what was the difference in the D40 and D40x, can’t exactly remember what was the big difference. Ore well it was not so much difference, so when hi gave me a very good price on the D40 house, 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor, SD-memory card 2 GB, UV filter and Vanguard bag I bought it.

So we come a little bit late back home to me, where Merete was waiting at us with here car and camping wagon. But she surely understod why we suddenly used more time and why 5 minutes suddenly changed to 15 minutes. Think this is the fastet buying I have done before, but I had make my mind up with what I was going to have. Just needed the last user experience, so instead of traveling downtown today and buy camera I did it on thursday .

This photos is taken with my old Olympus camera, for me this was good before – but not anymore :))

I will write a show how trip report on my kennel website, but that will come in some days. But here is a photo of Charlie and me that Anne took with my new D40, she falled in love with D40 and are thinking serious on buying on for here to. We took some photos, just about 500 😛

My fiber swap packet arrived today.

For a while back I joined Fiber swap and today I got my packet, this is one of the most funny swap I have joined, why because my secret pal is Peggy. A spinner in Kentucky US, that I got to know thruee one of the yahoo spinner group. Can’t remember who of them, since I am member of more then one.

Peggy send me Romney, I have talked a lot of that I would like to try to spin Romney. Since there is so many that have talk so nice about the wool. There was also a gorgous hand dyed bombyx silk from Abby’s yarn, Burt’s Bee hand care kit, a initial it bookmark with my H on, beautiful crochet clothes and the most funny a Keychan Sock Blocker Sock that I for a long time had tought of buying and some Wilton’s ice dying.

p6140007.jpg

For a while ago Peggy told me that she had bought Tofutsie sock yarn, that is made of 50% Superwash Wool, 25% SOYSILK brand fiber, 22.5% Cotton, 2.5% Chitin (made from shrimp and crab shells!) It was the Chitin that made me intrested, so I ask Peggy if she could buy a couple of skein to me. She has aslo been a angel and right after easter, she got to the shop to buy me easter egg dyes tablet think she was in more then one shop. And not that they sell lipgloss here home, but when I was in San Diego last autum Anita and I shoped Victoria Secret’s lip gloss Beauty Rush. That is one of the best lip gloss I have tried, gives a lot of moisture and have a discret gloss effect. Since I lost mine, and Victoria Secret doe ship to Norway but had a high shipping price I ask Peggy if she could help me.

So here is photos of the other items she have been traveling around in shop to get me, thank you so much Peggy.

It has also been very warm here in Bergen and the rest of the country, suddenly from about 15-18 degree we got very high temperature about 30 degree. So it was not so much done here, I had plans to get out the blood of the freezer to begin to train the kids again. But with this heat I have not had energy left, but yesterday the temperatur suddenly fall so no I have to begin the training again.
After the show I picked up Ellie that had been with my parents. She had also come in season and was almost finish, but Charlie tought she smell nice still so he tried a little flirt. The results, Ellie beat him up and he got a wond on his nose, but doe you think hi gave up after that? NO, but finaly he is getting a little bit more relax and last night I finaly could sleep the whole night.

Charlie trying to flirt with Ellie, and look how she care 😛
I also got finish with the rest of the collie wool, and this skein was much darker:

p6110004.jpg

The wool that is on my spinning wheel right no is angora yarn, that I am plying. Since I am spinning mostly lace and this is lace weight, it take so long time to ply it. But at least I got a lot of yarn when I am finish 😛

Long update.

It is already june 9 and much has happen since last updatet. So here is a quick (long) update 🙂
The last weekend I went with Charlie and Kelly on dog show in Drammen, it was just Charlie that was going to the show. Hi showed like hi always doe, hi is a fun dog to show in the ring. But unfortuanelly his was to big around his chest so both day we went out with a 2 KVAL, I have for a while put him on a diet but hi still has some gram he can loose.

But we had a nice weekend, meet up with one of my puppie buyer that has Charlie and Kelly’s litter brother; Garvin. She had help me with finding hotel room, it was about 20 min outside Oslo. But I prefer to live in the country part, where I can walk with the dogs around a little lake then live in Oslo city at hotel.  It was very nice to see both Nina and Garvin again, long time no since last time. Charlie thougt that Garvin was fun and begin to play with him, so it was not so easi to take a good photos of them. But here is at least one photo.

I have also had a little time to spin, so here is one skein finish with the collie wool I got from Grethe. It is from a blue merle collie, unfortuanelly I can’t keep the yarn. I am spinning on commision for Grethe, that have plan to knit up a sweather in 100% collie wool.

For a while ago I took a shopping round at Ikea, I needed to have some basket to have my wool and yarn in. And this two look like a perferct idea, but wen I come home I so a little bit closer on them when I came home and it did not have a zipper around like I thought.
But they are alright, and as you can see in the blue one the yarn I shop on Spar Kjoep today is perferctly placed in the basket. Spar Kjoep, has sales on the yarn and I need soon to begin to knit more winebasket.

When I was out to shop at To Damer, I so this pattern and thougt it was so nice so I bought it.

Kicki had birthday party this wednesday and she is a fabolous hostess, so much good to eat. Lises, Irenetur, Fru Fryds Gleder, Kiwa and myself gave Kicki Mirasol in different color and Knitpicks opitons needles tips in size 4,5 and 5 with 1m cable.
Kicki, the birthday girl

Before I was going to the birthday party, I stopped at Stine (Stillow). She arranged course in making dichroice jewel’s and no they where ready to assemble. Here are some photos from the course:

Some of the tool’s.

Stine

Dolci, Irene and Tone making plans to the design.

Here is Irene, Tone, Stine and Anne, ready to begin.

Myself, I most have been very constentrated to choose what glas to use, I was not aware of that Cruzidull toke photos of me 😛

This is my dichorice before they is going in the oven.

I am waiting for a photo from Stine she took of me and my finish dichoirc jewels. I sold the one in middle at the birthday party to Kicki, one of here nabo so my jewlels and like it so good and ask me if I would like to sell it. That was no problem for me, I thought it was fun to learn how to make dichoric jewels but it was not quite my type of hoby 🙂

Juhuu, the birthday wool from Wollknoll are in the house :o)

Since the custom office had done something wrong with my letter of attorney, I had do send in a new on and typical it took 2 days more before the they where finish with the custom decleration.

So finaly today I got notice from the post office and rushed of to get the packet paid for and take it home.

Tada, it is 3 kg of Mulberry silk, 2 kg of Tussah silk, 1 kg of grey alpaca, 1 kg of australian merino white and 1 kg of australian grey merino. But relax, it is just 5 kg who is mine 😛

p5110008.jpg

The quality is gorgoeus, I have found my favorit place to shop this type of wool and fiber 🙂

Here is a photos of my first bobbin with dog wool, it is from Collie and I have already plyed it together with Gotland that I bought from Jackie. It is no washed and are hanging to dry in the shower.

p5100056.jpg

I am also finised with one bobbin of lace white angora yarn, but spinning lace weight take time and are honostly a little bit «boring». But here is a photo of the bobbin, the coin is a Norwegian 1 coin.

p5060023.jpg

And of course we need to see some new puppie photos, agree? 😛

KoolAid dyeing.

Some photos of the angora&alpaca yarn I dyed with KoolAid, the brown colour is equal deal with orange and grape. The grape lookalike is from grape, ice blue rasberry and blue berry. The third yarn is rely dark violet, dyed with Wilton’s. But for some reason the colour don’t come right out in the photos.
