Hand dyed yarn and a lot.

I have test dyed some of the skeins I got in, 2 of the superwash BLF&nylon blend, 3 lace suri alpaca/ merin/silk and 3 with BFL. I love how the yarn takes the dyes, I even dyed two skeins with coffee and love the brown shaded color.

10 kg with wool and yarn ;o)

I have been looking for BFL, Shetland and sock yarn for a long time, I found Bluefaced in Ravelry and when also Diane recomend them I send in a small order 😛

I also took a photos of Ricco with his Ch. ribbon, hi became NVCH last year but got his ribbon now 😀

and here is  a photos of Charlie and Ellie in the garden, as you can see we also have snow 😛

More spindle and Figgy Pudding arrived.

April fiber of the month club from Chameleon Colorworks was Figgy Pudding, I like this color much more then Easter Parade. Light pastels colors are not my favorite, but this is how it is to be member for a fiber club.

Here is photos of Figgy Pudding, it is BFL.

I also got my new Bosworth spindles, it is Red Cedar midi 20 gram and Zebrawood mini 17 gram.

I love them, I have already spin on round finish and ply Corridale with the midi Red Cedar spindle 😀

More fiber in the house.

My brother work sometimes in Hamar, and since Spinnvilt is in Hamar. What more naturally is it to ask if he could pick up some wool I order from Spinnvilt. I love to try new wool and fiber type, so when Spinnvilt had got in many new type I just had to try. My brother and his family came to Bergen today and look what hi had with him 😛

Wool from Spinnvilt, from left is Corridale, Wensleydale, Shetland, Shropshire, Dorset Horn, Lincoln and in the bag washed Spelsau. Yiah.

Lincoln and Dorset Horn are interesting, but I think that will be a one time bargain. The wool are to coarse for me, wonder what type of yarn I shall spin with it. Corridale and the Shetland are very nice and will definitely be bought more of, Wensleydale I am not shore of before I have spun with it. Shropshire is a fine coarse wool, specially good for making sock yarn and are bought in for that purpose.

Eirik at Spinnvilt give a very good custom service and is one of the two Norwegian spinner & wool shop we have in Norway 😀

More fiber coming in the mail.

Beth, my secret pal from Fiber Frenzy own The Spinning Loft and when I wanted to buy more of the gorgeous super soft baby alpaca from Handspinners dream it was naturally for me to contact Beth.
I also wanted to try some Karaoke, To Damer had got in Karaoke yarn but it is a little bit to thick for me. Knitting with 4,5 mm ore 5mm is quick, but I wanted thinner yarn so the only solution is to spin it myself.
Then I wonder if she also had some Soysilk and black bamboo from SWTC, I got some more fiber then I was suppose to 😛

Since I also Beth about sparkling fiber and silk cocoon my next spinning project, guess who was happy when Beth had put 3 different type of sparkling fiber in the box and some silk cocoon. So know I also have to try degum them.

Here is the fiber:

I need later to order some more of the regular circular knitting needles, since the interchangeable first begin from 3.5 mm.

This one is what I rely wanted, the Yarn Meter and WPI Tool and Knit Card. So from know I will no how many meters the yarn is exactly. Until know I have counted the lap when the yarn has been at the yarn winder.

And then Allena my wonderful pal, I got to know thruee Spin To Knit swap. She had send me Shetland wool from here own sheep. They are so soft and wonderful, straiten up the bad impressing I got from the terrible harsh Shetland woolI got from UK when I bought some drop spindles. There where also some lovely handdyed skein of yarn, that is there skein you can see on the right on the first photos.

Thank you so much for all the help Allena, since Knitpicks don’t send to Norway I need help from my friends in US 🙂

But I have also been spinning, so here is 134 gram with lace angora&silk yarn. I have it winded up at the yarn winder and are going to use the Yarn meter to see how many meter the yarn is. I will maybe hand dyed this yarn, since there was so many that like the purple angora&silk yarn I hand dyed for a while back.

I also had a left over at the mulberry silk, so I navaho plyed the silk. Navahoe plyed, meanst that it is a 3 treads yarn. I it just 10 gram, so I don’t know what to knit of it. But to be pure silk it is very soft 😛
